Frieren Anime Episode 12 Recap

In the prior episode, Frieren and her party, having parted ways with Kraft, continued their journey northward. Their destination was the Village of the Sword, a place safeguarding the Hero’s Blade. Welcomed by the village chief, Frieren faced admonishment for neglecting her duty to visit every 50 years and eliminate the demons in the vicinity. Responding to this, the party took swift action the following day, clearing out demons, including the Lord of the Mountains guarding a cave.

Upon inspecting the cave, Stark discovered the Hero’s Blade embedded in a stone. The Blade exclusively chose the true Hero, deeming Himmel “Unworthy.” Despite this, Himmel was determined to continue his journey, knowing that defeating the Demon King and bringing prosperity to the world held greater significance.
