LoL Nexus Blitz Rescheduled by Riot from 24th October

League of Legends players are experiencing a delay in the return of the much-anticipated Nexus Blitz game mode. Riot Games had initially stirred excitement by announcing its revival as part of the Worlds 2023 event, but a communication mishap has pushed the release date from October 24 to October 25, leaving fans in disarray.

Nexus Blitz, known for its arcade-style gameplay, was first introduced to the League of Legends community in 2018. It brought a refreshing blend of fast-paced action, a unique map, new items, and exhilarating minigames to the traditional MOBA setting. The mode was intended to be a permanent fixture in the game but, regrettably, was shelved soon after its debut.

League of Legends enthusiasts were overjoyed when Riot confirmed that Nexus Blitz would make its grand return during the Worlds 2023 event. Set to be unleashed at 2 PM Central Time on October 24, players eagerly anticipated revisiting the beloved mode. However, players received a sudden jolt when Riot revised its earlier announcement, rescheduling the release to the same time on October 25.

The recalibrated statement, issued via Riot’s official Twitter account, read, “Ok, when we said ‘Oct 24 at 2 PM CT,’ we MEANT to say ‘Oct 25 at 2 PM PT.’ Hold your hype a little longer, and we’ll see you tomorrow.”

Understandably, the unexpected change frustrated players who had been eagerly awaiting the return of Nexus Blitz. Many expressed their dissatisfaction on social media, lamenting the additional day-long delay.

In addition to the delay, players voiced their discontent with Riot Games for providing the updated information on short notice, highlighting that the misleading announcement was not exclusive to Twitter, adding to the confusion among the League of Legends community.
