Although the fan-made project is still in progress, only three parts have been released so far. Due to the reliance on crowdfunding, the team is awaiting funds to create parts 4 and 5. Despite the incomplete status, fans are already aware of the series’ direction and its ending.
The music video that inspired Attack on Titan Requiem suggests a different outcome from the original storyline. According to the video, Eren did not meet his end at Mikasa’s hands. Instead, he emerged victorious against the Allies, continued the Rumbling, and eradicated the entire population outside Paradis Island.
In the video, the protagonist figure is seen sitting beside a tree, possibly referencing the tree where Eren was buried. The inspiration video also depicts multiple graves, diverging from the singular grave in the original series.
Furthermore, the video illustrates glimpses of wastelands and bloodshed, indicating that Eren Jaeger succeeded after initiating the Rumbling. This victory led to the deaths of Mikasa, Armin, Jean, Pieck, and others who attempted to oppose him.
Despite being a fan-created endeavor, Attack on Titan Requiem showcases impressive quality, staying faithful to the original manga’s art style. It will be intriguing to witness the meticulous details the fan-made project will cover in its alternate ending.
