Anime Details

The ‘Tis Time for “Torture,” Princess anime has been officially confirmed, and it’s set to hit screens in January 2024. The series will be under the direction of Kazuyuki Fudeyasu, a seasoned screenwriter known for his work on isekai anime like That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime, along with other fantasy and slice-of-life series like Do It Yourself!!. The animation studio bringing this madness to life is Pine Jam, the same studio that recently brought you the Paradox Live anime adaptation.

Plot Overview

In this comically twisted tale, two warring nations find themselves at odds, with the princess of the Human World’s kingdom falling into the clutches of the villainous Hellhorde. However, there’s a catch: outright torture is forbidden, even for prisoners of war. Enter Torture Tortura, a culinary genius who devises a unique method to extract information from the captive princess. Using mouthwatering delicacies, she lures intel (often useless) out of the “tormented” girl. By the princess’s side is her loyal sword Ex/Excalibur, playing the role of the straight man amidst his master’s bizarre antics.
