PlayStation’s official YouTube channel premiered a video on Monday, December 4, featuring Yor Forger versus Chun-Li in anticipation of Spy x Family & Street Fighter 6 Collab. The collaborative content is slated to debut in the CAPCOM game on Tuesday, January 9, 2024.
Spy X Family Code: White, an upcoming original anime movie adapted from Tatsuya Endo’s Spy X Family manga, is scheduled for release in Japan on Friday, December 22, 2023. WIT Studio and Cloverworks are set to produce the movie. Interestingly, the new Street Fighter 6 video appears to have been exclusively crafted by WIT Studio.
Spy x Family & Street Fighter 6 Collab Set To Arrive in January 2024
In July 2023, CAPCOM unveiled a Spy x Family & Street Fighter 6 Collab and the upcoming Spy x Family Code: White movie. The initial announcement featured a visual showcasing Yor and Chun-Li in combat, while Loid, Anya, and Bond observed Ryu and Li-Fen joining the scene.
As the release of Spy x Family Code: White approaches, CAPCOM recently amplified excitement with a collaboration video. This footage presents Yor Forger engaging in a battle against Chun-Li on the Suval’hal Arena stage. The video vividly portrays the two fighters displaying evenly matched prowess, exchanging kicks that culminate in a dramatic clash.
Furthermore, the video revealed that the collaborative items from the movie will be integrated into the game on Tuesday, January 9, 2024. However, specifics about these collaboration items are yet to be disclosed by the game.
What Can Fans Expect From Spy x Family & Street Fighter 6 Collab?
While the video implies the potential for fans to play as Yor Forger in the game, there’s been no indication of the same possibility for her family members, Loid, Anya, and Bond.
Although Loid Forger might still become a playable character, the likelihood of Anya and Bond receiving similar treatment appears slim despite their extraordinary abilities. Consequently, fans might anticipate the game introducing anime character skins as unlockable content. This could encompass Yor’s distinctive black assassin attire and Loid’s iconic Light-Green suit.
Additionally, fans can anticipate cosmetic items representing Anya and Bond that can be equipped on their preferred in-game characters. Possible additions might include Anya’s hair and hair accessories. However, the game has not provided specific details yet. With the collaboration set to launch in a month, fans can anticipate further details to be unveiled later on.
