The most recent Fortnite OG update has reintroduced The Baller vehicle, which takes the place of Quad Crashers, and the Drum Shotgun, replacing the Combat Shotgun, among other changes.
In the latest Fortnite OG update, The Baller vehicle and the Drum Shotgun, among other items, have made a return. Epic Games, in the midst of Chapter 4, has decided to bring back some of the most beloved items featured in the game, aligning with a season that pays homage to the initial set of seasons.
The OG season has drawn many players back to Fortnite. Since the launch of Chapter 2, a segment of the player base has expressed a desire to revisit the original map with its old item rotation. While OG revisits the Chapter 1 seasons throughout what would be Chapter 4 Season 5, players are given a taste of the game’s earlier state. The prolonged demand for the return of the Chapter 1 map has contributed to Fortnite reaching a new record in player count during the OG season. With the reintroduction of The Baller vehicle and other items this season, the community might expand even further before OG concludes.
Fortnite Leaker HypeX recently revealed the vaulted and unvaulted items in the latest Fortnite OG update. The patch is centered around Fortnite Chapter 1 Season 9 and X. Although most of the items in the content drop are linked to Season X, The Baller and Drone POIs were included to cater to Season 9 fans. Additionally, fan-favorite items making a comeback in the item rotation are the Jetpack, Air Strikes, and Drum Shotgun. However, items like Quad Crashers, Balloons, and the Glider have been vaulted, reducing the number of mobility options in the battle royale.
Since its introduction to Fortnite, The Baller has allowed players to grapple onto nearby objects, pulling themselves towards or swinging around for a speed boost. This season marks The Baller’s return, having been prominently featured in Chapter 3 Season 3. As part of this Fortnite OG update, a roller coaster has been incorporated around a POI that includes the vehicle. The revival of Chapter 1 items and locations is set to conclude with the end of OG. To cap off the latest season, a live Fortnite event featuring Eminem is scheduled for December 2.
While Fortnite OG is slated to conclude on December 2, its popularity may encourage Epic Games to explore another nostalgic season. Given that each Fortnite OG update involves vaulting and unvaulting items and altering the map, some players may have already seen changes to their favorite rotations.
