Epic Games has responded to community discontent by Fortnite lowers Rocket Racing Bundle Prices available in the Fortnite Item Shop. The move comes after a significant backlash from a substantial portion of the fanbase, who found the initial pricing of these items to be overly expensive.
The conclusion of Fortnite Season OG left many players with mixed emotions, as it marked the end of a season that seamlessly blended nostalgia with innovation. However, the launch of Chapter 5 Season 1 introduced three significant game modes, which are now permanent additions to Fortnite. These modes, Survival, Racing, and Rhythm, are designed to be as intricate as Battle Royale and Creative, promising regular updates with fresh content to maintain player engagement.
In a span of three days, Fortnite introduced LEGO Fortnite, Rocket Racing, and Fortnite Festival, each representing distinct genres: survival, racing, and rhythm. The LEGO game mode granted players LEGO-style aesthetics for their favorite skins. Fortnite Festival featured the Opening Night Pass, instrument cosmetics, and music tracks. Finally, Rocket Racing brought car skins, decals, and cosmetic bundles to the Fortnite universe.
The initial release of the first three car cosmetic bundles in the Fortnite Item Shop, coinciding with the introduction of the Rocket Racing game mode, garnered satisfaction from many fans. However, the joy was short-lived as discontent grew over the revealed pricing. The Cyclone and Jaeger 619 bundles were priced at 2,500 V-Bucks each, while the Diesel bundle came with a hefty price tag of 4,000 V-Bucks. The Fortnite community expressed widespread outrage upon discovering these costs. In response to the backlash, Epic Games, on December 14, less than a week after their debut, announced its decision to adjust the prices of these bundles. Moreover, players who had already purchased the bundles at the original prices would receive a refund. This means that individuals who bought the Diesel pack would be refunded 1,500 V-Bucks, while those who purchased the Cyclone or Jaeger 619 bundles would be refunded 1,000 V-Bucks.

However, discontent among gamers is also directed at the pricing of these music track items. Priced at 500 V-Bucks each, equivalent to around $5, many players find them to be on the expensive side. Continued expression of player dissatisfaction may potentially lead to price adjustments for these music tracks, similar to the response seen with the car cosmetic bundles.
