In Version 4.3 of Genshin Impact, players are eagerly anticipating the introduction of Genshin Impact Chiori, the new Geo character. The community has been treated to a comprehensive view of Chiori’s full character model, shedding light not only on her Geo Vision but also clarifying her affiliation as a Fontaine or Inazuma character. Alongside the arrival of Navia and Chevreuse in Version 4.3, Genshin Impact Chiori, an accomplished fashion designer from Inazuma residing in the Court of Fontaine, will be making her debut. Initial mentions of Chiori surfaced in Kirara’s voice lines, and she holds the responsibility of crafting the outfits for Lyney, Lynette, and Navia.
Despite claims from banner order leaks suggesting that Chiori’s playability would only commence in Version 4.5, the Flagship Event for Roses and Muskets in Version 4.3 will prominently feature Genshin Impact Chiori as one of the central characters. This event will see her alongside Ayaka, Ayato, Yoimiya, Chevreuse, and Furina. The inclusion of the Kamisato siblings and Yoimiya in Fontaine hints at an Inazuman narrative unfolding in Version 4.3, offering players a deeper engagement with characters from this nation, following only a brief encounter in Version 3.7.
Genshin Impact Chiori Has A Geo Inazuma Vision
As per the model disclosed by Mero and shared on the Genshin Impact Leaks subreddit, Chiori is identified as part of the Inazuma cast. Despite residing in Fontaine, it appears that her Geo Vision has Inazuman origins. There had been speculation among Genshin Impact players about a possible “reverse Thoma” scenario, where Genshin Impact Chiori acquired her Vision after leaving Inazuma, but current indications suggest otherwise. While the specifics of her capabilities are still speculative, reliable leaks suggest that Chiori is likely to be introduced as a 5-Star Geo Sword character, marking the first of its kind since Albedo in Version 1.2.
Players have long anticipated changes to the Geo element in Genshin Impact, particularly since the introduction of Dendro in Sumeru. While Navia offers an alternative approach to building Geo teams through her reliance on Crystallize, it doesn’t fundamentally address the perceived lack of depth in the Geo element compared to other elements like Electro. Although it’s premature to speculate on Chiori’s ability kit, some players are hopeful that she might fulfill the role of a Geo support or healer, given that Noelle is currently the only character occupying that niche.
For those captivated by Genshin Impact Chiori’s visual design, there’s still time to accumulate Primogems. However, the Event Banners in Version 4.3 present a challenging choice. With Navia’s debut, Ayaka’s rerun, and the appearance of Raiden Shogun, there’s substantial value in summoning any of these characters. Players can anticipate Chiori’s arrival in a matter of weeks, coinciding with the launch of Version 4.3 on December 20, 2023, and the subsequent Flagship Event.
