In a recent interview with Collider, Zack Snyder revealed that Twilight of the Gods draws inspiration from Norse mythology. The narrative revolves around a king and queen in a small Viking village aspiring to marry. However, an unforeseen event during their wedding sets off a chain of events, leading Sigrid, the bride-to-be and child of giants, on a vengeful quest.
The foundational premise aligns with Snyder’s distinctive style, reminiscent of his previous works such as Justice League, 300, Man of Steel, and Sucker Punch. Known for his inclination toward intense violence and graphic fight scenes, Snyder affirmed that Twilight of the Gods will embrace a similar tone.
Expanding on the storyline, Snyder explained, “[Sigrid] assembles a diverse group of characters, including a seer and a dwarf, forming a cohesive unit with a singular mission – to locate and confront a god. It’s a mission and a tale of revenge.”
How Many Episodes Will There Be In Twilight of the Gods?
Zack Snyder disclosed that the anime series will consist of eight episodes. During the interview, the director highlighted how the animated format offered creative freedom by circumventing the limitations imposed by traditional filmmaking. In a recent interview, Zack Snyder expressed uncertainty about the specific Netflix release date for the film. She clarified, “The release date has not been finalized yet, but we are still in the process of completing the film, and we expect to finish it sometime this summer.”
