In The previous Episode, amidst the sudden surge in inflation caused by counterfeit currency, Mitsugoshi Corporation and the Major Corporate Alliance found themselves in a precarious situation. Alpha, still grappling with Shadow’s departure, uncovered that his collaboration with Yukime, resulting in a significant credit collapse in the Kingdom of Midgar, was part of a larger scheme.
Simultaneously, Cid, adopting his John Smith persona, realized that all the gold from the secret hideout had disappeared, and he suspected Gettan’s involvement. In a confrontation, Yukime faced Gettan, who, fueled by pills from the Cult of Diablos, overpowered her. Cid intervened just in time, inadvertently saving Yukime by defeating Gettan.
Yukime, recognizing John Smith as the mysterious “Stylish Bandit Killer” who once saved her life, developed feelings for him. Meanwhile, Alpha proposed an alliance with Yukime when they met at the hideout. Misinterpreting Gettan’s last words, Cid spent weeks searching for the gold beneath the icy battleground.
Delta aided Cid in his quest, but he eventually decided to embark on a solo adventure, returning only after the members of the Shadow Garden had overcome the distress caused by his betrayal. As Cid mysteriously vanished, Delta uncovered a valuable discovery during the excavation.
