The Eminence In Shadow Episode 4 Recap
In the previous installment of The Eminence In Shadow, a startling revelation unfolds as Alexia is discovered to be imprisoned in a cell adjacent to the mutated girl. A scientist affiliated with the cult extracts a blood sample from her, firmly convinced that it holds the DNA of a demon. Meanwhile, Cid, who had been apprehended on suspicion of involvement in Alexia’s abduction, finds himself enduring torment at the hands of the knights. Although Cid outwardly feigns distress, he remains impervious to pain, having undergone rigorous training to endure such situations. After enduring five days of captivity, Princess Iris finally orders his release.
Alpha pays Cid a visit, assuring him that they are closely monitoring the activities of the cult, and that their group has grown even more potent. Cid, however, remains skeptical, suspecting that Alpha and her associates are still immersed in their elaborate role-play. Consequently, he plays along with their charade. Alpha devises a strategy to liberate Alexia, employing 114 soldiers for the mission. In Cid’s estimation, these soldiers are merely actors hired by Alpha to fulfill their roles.
A formidable assault is unleashed, and Cid takes retribution by eliminating the knights who subjected him to torture. Meanwhile, the scientist administers Alexia’s blood to the mutated girl, thereby transforming her into a demon. This newly transformed entity proceeds to exact revenge on the scientist and secures Alexia’s freedom. As the episode concludes, Alexia encounters Zenon, who unveils that he was responsible for delivering her to the cult in exchange for a promotion. Following a confrontation, Zenon emerges victorious, but Cid makes a dramatic entrance at the eleventh hour.
