Solo Leveling Episode 3 Recap

Solo Leveling Episode 4

In Episode 3 of Solo Leveling, titled “It’s Like a Game,” Jinwoo regained consciousness in the hospital with no recollection of how he ended up there. Woo Jinchul paid him a visit, briefing him on the casualties and survivors of the Double Dungeon. An examination of Jinwoo’s Mana revealed that his reawakening had not progressed sufficiently.

Jinwoo’s sister, Jinah, and her friend Han Songyi also dropped by during his hospital stay. Meanwhile, Choi Jon-In approached Cha Hae-In to lead a Raid team. Jinwoo discovered a peculiar screen visible only to him, signaling his status as a player within a system. This system mirrored a video game, complete with daily quests, rewards, penalties, an inventory, a shop, and leveling up.

Solo Leveling Episode 4

Episode 3 returned to a deliberate pace, adapting 2.5 chapters from the Webtoon (chapters 11-12 with a few pages from chapter 13). The upcoming fourth episode is expected to maintain this pace and cover the remainder of chapter 13 along with chapters 14-20. This segment will depict Jinwoo’s triumph over the dungeon boss, showcasing the progress he has made in his training.

The preview for the episode, titled “I’ve Gotta Get Stronger,” suggests that A-1 Pictures may incorporate additional anime-original scenes to feature more of the main cast before their canonical introduction. However, Solo Leveling Episode 4 is anticipated to formally introduce Yoo Jinho and Hwang Dongsuk to the anime in accordance with the original storyline.

While Jinho made a prior appearance during the anime-original segment in the first episode, Dongsuk has yet to be introduced. The upcoming episode is also poised to provide insights into the workings of the Hunter Society and delve into the mindset of Sung Jinwoo.
