The recent chapters delved into Kuma’s final sacrifice for Bonney and unveiled the circumstances leading to his memory loss. With the conclusion of the flashback, the narrative returns to the present timeline, focusing on the Egghead War.
Before the Kuma flashback, it became apparent that Bonney faced a life-or-death situation. Saturn, in his Devil Fruit state, held her captive along with restraining other Straw Hat Pirates, while Luffy remained incapacitated after his battle with Kizaru. This set the stage for Kuma, the only one capable of intervening to save her.
The upcoming chapter picks up where the previous one left off. Bonney reverts to her child form and offers an apology to Vegapunk, who had gifted her a sun necklace made of sapphire as a 10th birthday present from Kuma.
Returning to the present, Bonney engages in a life-or-death struggle with Saturn. Employing her Nika-like Future attack, one of the most potent in One Piece, Bonney finds her attack ineffective, leaving her in a weakened state.
