Leaks for Valorant suggest an upcoming addition of a new Valorant weapon a novelty since its launch in 2020.
A reputable leaker in the Valorant community has indicated that the game will soon feature a new Valorant weapon: the Outlaw sniper rifle. If confirmed, this marks the first introduction of a new weapon to Valorant since its initial release in 2020.
Initial leaks about the Outlaw emerged back in October 2023 during a skin showcase, although the new Valorant weapon wasn’t showcased in action. Its appearance was fleeting, visible only briefly in the game’s buy menu. The leaked details indicate that the Outlaw is priced at 2,400 points, positioning it as a mid-tier sniper, sitting between the high-tier Operator (4,700 points) and the lower-tier Marshal (950 points). Should this new addition materialize, it has the potential to significantly impact the current weapon meta within Valorant. Leakers have begun to shed light on the weapon’s features ahead of its anticipated release.
New Valorant Weapon Leaked
A reliable source known as ValorLeaks has revealed that the Outlaw will make its debut alongside the launch of Valorant’s Episode 8, scheduled for release on January 10. This new Valorant weapon sniper is reported to fire two consecutive shots before requiring a reload, capable of taking down a partially armored opponent with just one bullet. It boasts significant damage outputs: dealing 238 damage on headshots, 140 damage on body shots, and 119 damage on leg shots. While not as potent as the Operator, the Outlaw appears to be an enhanced version of the Marshal, equipped to deliver formidable damage. Users of the Outlaw will have an 80% running speed and a 1.25-second equip time for the sniper. Despite these details, predicting the exact experience of using the Outlaw remains challenging. Given Valorant’s reputation as a challenging FPS game to master, the new Valorant weapon likely offers a high skill cap.
What Are The Outlaw’s Stats?
- 238 damage to the head
- 140 damage to the body
- 119 damage to the legs
- 2-bullet magazine size, with 10 bullets in reserve
- 1.25s equip time
- 80% running speed
- 2.75 firerate
- Costs 2,400 credits
The Outlaw’s characteristic of firing two bullets resembles that of the Shorty, Valorant’s version of a double-barreled shotgun, allowing users to fire two shots before reloading. Alongside the anticipation for this new weapon, many fans are also eager for the addition of a new character to Valorant’s roster of agents during Episode 8. The most recent hero introduced was Iso, part of Episode 7 Act 3 launched on October 31. Historically, Valorant typically introduces a new agent every four to six months, making it plausible for a new agent to join during one of Episode 8’s Acts. However, there has been no official confirmation of such an addition.
According to some dataminers in the Valorant community, an agent codenamed “SmokeDancer” has been detected within the game’s files. This potential Controller agent is speculated to possess abilities related to smoke, potentially causing a shift in Valorant’s prevailing team compositions and strategies.
