In Genshin Impact Version 4.4, three characters from Liyue are set to receive brand-new skins, marking an exciting addition to the game’s extensive content. The recent unveiling through the Special Preview Program highlighted the upcoming features, showcasing not only skins for Ganyu, Shenhe, and Xingqiu but also confirming the event banners for Xianyun, Nahida, Xiao, and Yae Miko.
Chenyu Vale, a new zone making its debut, will serve as a bridge between Fontaine and Liyue, fostering a connection between the two nations. Beyond the exploration of its stunning landscapes, players will have the opportunity to assist the local adeptus in the healing process of the land and face off against a formidable new world boss.
Version 4.4 will bring Gaming and Xianyun to Genshin Impact, both featured in the Event Banners during the initial half of the patch. While some players express skepticism about Xianyun’s ability kit’s relevance in the meta, the Plunging Attack gameplay it introduces is expected to bring added value to existing characters like Diluc. Xianyun will also be the focus of a Story Quest in Version 4.4 and play a significant role in the upcoming Lantern Rite event.
The Lantern Rite event will not only introduce Xianyun but also present alternative skins for Ganyu and Shenhe in Genshin Impact. Players will have the opportunity to acquire these skins at a discounted rate during Version 4.4. Additionally, Xingqiu’s outfit will be available for free by completing the Flagship Event of the patch, following a similar acquisition method to Kaeya’s outfit from Version 3.8. While Shenhe and Ganyu won’t be featured in their rerun during Version 4.4, the Event Banners will include two beloved characters, providing valuable support for players navigating the challenges of the Spiral Abyss.

In Genshin Impact Version 4.4, Xianyun and Nahida will take center stage as the first half banners, while the second half will feature the anticipated return of Xiao and Yae Miko as limited characters. As part of the Lantern Rite tradition, Genshin Impact players can add the 4-Star Pyro Claymore character, Gaming, to their roster for free. Alternatively, they can secure Gaming by making wishes on the Xianyun and Nahida banners, where he will have an increased drop rate.
While not officially confirmed, players opting to save their Primogems in Genshin Impact Version 4.4 might find an enticing opportunity in Genshin Impact Version 4.5. Chiori, a forthcoming playable 5-Star Geo Sword character, is rumored to be available for wishes starting January 31st, 2024. This means that fans of Genshin Impact won’t have to wait long to immerse themselves in the new Chenyu Vale and fully experience all the offerings that Genshin Impact Version 4.4 brings to the table.
