A forthcoming Genshin Impact gaming controller offers enthusiasts an opportunity to immerse themselves in the upcoming Version 4.3 content while celebrating one of their favorite characters.
Renowned gaming accessory manufacturer 8BitDo has collaborated with HoYoverse to release an officially licensed Genshin Impact gaming controller. This fresh addition to the Genshin Impact lineup showcases a light blue color scheme inspired by Chongyun, a playable character hailing from the Liyue region.
Genshin Impact, launched in September 2020, has garnered immense popularity globally. The open-world action RPG continues to receive significant updates almost three years after its debut, with players currently exploring the Fontaine region in Version 4.2. Notably, optimizations have been introduced for the mobile versions, including enhanced Genshin Impact gaming controller support and MetalFx upscaling for iPhone 15 Pro users.
8BitDo recently unveiled the “Chongyun Edition” of their Ultimate 2.4G Wireless Genshin Impact gaming controller on Twitter. Officially licensed by HoYoverse, this Cryo-themed controller features Chongyun’s sigils and exorcist charms on a light blue backdrop. The thumbsticks, back buttons, and face buttons are adorned with a dark blue hue. Additionally, the controller comes with a 7-piece gift set, including a Chongyun-themed keychain, four joystick caps, a carrying case, and a specially themed charging stand featuring a golden Cryo symbol to complement the controller’s golden d-pad. Set to release on December 18, Genshin Impact enthusiasts can pre-order the controller for $59.99 on its Amazon page.
Despite Genshin Impact’s current lack of controller support on Android, this new 8BitDo controller is specifically designed for use on Android, as well as iOS, Mac, and PC devices. Users can connect the controller to their smartphones via Bluetooth, while desktop gamers have the option to use a wired USB-C connection, Bluetooth, or 2.4GHz connectivity through the included USB dongle. PC and Mac users can further customize button mapping, stick dead zones, controller vibration, and additional settings using the 8BitDo Ultimate Software. The Genshin Impact gaming controller is also compatible with SteamOS, allowing Steam Deck users to employ it in other games.
